Yes friends and readers, it has been a long time. Too long. 2020 has been the year that changed everything. Our world, our families, our freedom… And there’s no end in the immediate future, although they have unveiled the vaccine.
I have been negligent, folks, in my posting, and for that I apologize right up front. Frankly, I just haven’t felt like posting, as all of my rantings are usually done in a happy uplifting tone. Honestly, there hasn’t been a lot to be positive about as I’ve watched countless people I know lose their livelihoods, everything they’ve worked for, die and at the same time I’ve watched a new violent uprising in the streets, to which there is no punishment, or deterrent….
Anyway, we’ve all gone through it I won’t re-live it. It is what it is.
So here I am. Two days away from Christmas in a year where for the first time ever I won’t be spending time with my children or grandchildren.
I’ve done what everyone else has done, which is “make the best of it”, and hope we come out ok on the other side.
If all that isn’t depressing enough, I got devastating news around Thanksgiving, which I won’t go into here, but has completely changed my life and the way I live it. I’m just waiting for the big earthquake any day now to top it all off.
There has, however, been a couple of cool things happen while we’ve been shut down. My web development business has been thriving. That’s a good thing. Seems a lot of the stores that have been boarded up have reached out for On-Line e-commerce sites, and I’ve helped a few entrepreneurs find success in a new environment.
Speaking of Web Design, I’ve also completely redesigned a few of my own sites, this one included. Check out the other two below:
I’ve also been lucky enough to be labeled an “Essential Worker”, so I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to work my regular job through this whole mess and support my family.
This year has also brought us a new Grandbaby, Benjamin, who is the spitting image of his father and has brought Anna’s daughter and son in law many blessings.
So, there is a mix of good with the bad, Let’s just hope a new president, new vaccine, and new year will bring this world back to normalcy… or what’s left of it.
That’s all for now, feel free to leave comments or opinions, I’d love to hear them. Until next time….
